Architectural Review Board (ARB)

The role of the Architectural Review Board is to ensure the retention of harmonious design qualities in Ascot Woods by providing guidelines that will aid residents in developing exterior improvements that are in keeping with the immediate neighborhood and the community as a whole.  No improvements, alterations, repairs, changes of paint colors, excavations, changes in grade or other work, which in any way alters the exterior of any lot or the improvements located thereon from its natural or improved state, shall be made or done without the prior approval of the Architectural Review Board.

Architectural Standards and Guidelines have been published to assist homeowners in pursuit of property improvements to meet community expectations.  The guidelines do not interpret, dictate, amend, or alter Prince William County zoning restrictions, building codes or municipal ordinances. Application to the ARB does not constitute an application to or approval from the Prince William County Zoning Board for improvements governed by County Regulations.

Applications may be mailed to AWHOA, P O Box 1623, Woodbridge, VA 22191, emailed to, hand-delivered to any Board member or presented in person at any meeting of the AWHOA Board.

Prince William County code stipulates that Zoning and Building permits are required for many property improvement requests, i.e. fences, retaining walls, etc. For more information, please phone 703-792-6930 or click the logo to the left to go to:
